I always thought the belt line was fair game. Especially when the trunks are up so high

Is it "on the belt line" or "Below the belt line"

The answer depends on who the fans are going for, biased usyk fans will say its low, we all have biases depending on the situation, so... Im 100% sure that if it were the other way around they would say its legal. Either way the ref called it low, usyk took advantage as most would. I myself thought it was cleanDon2021 likes this.

Bbbcofc (i know it was a Poland fight) rules say "below the belt" and definition of belt it says is
"The “belt” is defined as an imaginary line drawn across the body from the top of the hip bones"

the ref will point to a spot on the trunks and say Here, thats low, another spot, thats ok
now whether he actually sees exactly where the shot lands is another story, generally the home guy will get the benefit of any confusion on landing zone ofc

Literally has always depended on how high the trunks are. That’s why the referee seconds before the fight checks the trunks and makes a decision “your trunks are a little high, so top half of belt is fine, lower half is a foul. You’re trunks are good, shots on the belt line are a foul” etc.
Some people have really been watching this sport half comatose.

Belt line is usually fine for the most part.
Shot didn't seem low at all to me but it's the ref's discretion.

It’s on the belt line. Ref lets you know before fight.
I thought the trunks rode up alot during the fight.
Compare that shot to the garbage Ajagba was getting hit with.
