That's just an untrue statement from Usyk.
When he was down he was constantly looking at his corner and was shaking his head numerous times, in a manner that said 'I can't go on'
I actually thought the fight was over when I saw this.
Again usy k won. I'll say it was a low blow now as ddd didn't need to go so low to hurt usyk.
Only thing is whether usyk couldve GOT up? But that's even irrelevant as you get 5 minutes to recover.
Whatever Usyk was doing on the floor was irrelevant. The referee ruled low blow immediately as Usyk went down. If Usyk went up immediately to continue and got KOd, people here would rightly brand him foolish. It's wise to use every circumstance to your advantage.
Could Usyk get up? We'll never know.
What we do know is that Dubois could not capitalize on that blow and lost by stoppage.
Clever. Take every advantage. Time to move on. Fury or Hrgovic next. Dubois needs to fight some top 15 guys to help bridge the gap before fighting the elite again and react better when chances present themselves
So when he got up holding onto the ropes and took a step after 3 minutes of being on the floor, it was all a pretence? Either you’ve been smashed in the balls and are in agony, or you’re not. Nobody is ‘jumping up’ in seconds after being punched in the balls by a heavyweight.
Not heavyweight, but 20 seconds after taking two flush, hard uppercuts right on the cup, Freddie Norwood was up and acting like he was in no pain.
