Pictures don’t lie. A low blow.

Clearly a lot of people have not taken low blows before. That isn’t a body shot reaction, that’s the reaction when you’re hit low. You feel it in the nuts and it hurts like a sumbich. Never been hit by Dubois level guy but kicked multiple times in the bladder area and that’s how everyone reacts.

Read the rules and use your eyes.

As a previous post states, the line is from the top of the hips not the belly button as usyks team claim.

The shot looked borderline (to me) but the ref has to make the fall then and there and he called "low". Usyks actions after that are all within the rules.

What would have happened if the ref hadnt called it low, who knows?

What we do know is that the refs call was "low", Usyk took his allotted recovery time then continued to fight and stopped Dubois. Nothing changes that.

Carl froch said it was low so it's low. Only controversy now with me is whether usy k couldve got up? But don't matter now as it was low and you get time to recover. But still controversial fight either way

After having watched this controversial episode, one can only imagine what Tyson Fury will attempt to do to Usyk, should they ever fight.

I envision Fury throwing his entire weight upon Usyk, and hitting his every piece of body with legal and illegal shots.

IN professional boxing rat now. they will appeal to no avail because no boxing oversite is available. PS.... if you want to see a low blow watch the effey agafa fight that happened later that same night on espn+ on the jared anderson card, now those were looowwww blows.
have you ever gotten hit in the balls before in your life? The pain is in your lower abdomen.

If it had been ruled a knock down and Usyk managed to beat the count, Dubois would have pummeled him and finish him off, plain and simple.

I think this will always be a hot debate topic.

Me and The majority of posters in real time said it was legal in the rbr fight thread.

It seemed to me that those that commented immediately after the fight was over felt the blow was low.

I think a rematch is warranted, even though I thought Dubois pretty much quit.

Not sure about this punch but many say borderline. Watch Duran vs Buchanan when Duran won the title. The punch looked low and Buchanan looked like he was in agony. But Duran became champ on that night. Refs are often wrong but how can this be fixed?

                    On the rules it's borderline.

On common sense it's a shot that slides underneath Usyk's elbow as he brings his elbow down to protect himself. Almost a textbook description of a body shot.

The body part that was hit was the stomach. Or at least I would refer to it as my stomach. I keep my **** and balls further south.

You can talk about an imaginary line from the hips through the naval but in 40(ish) years of being involved in boxing I believe that is typically allowed as a body shot

If you watch the video from the clearer angle, it was an obvious low blow... https://streamable.com/naf2mz
