Ref for Usyk-Dubois was the most biased ref I seen in a long time

Actually its IS the job of the ref to refuse to start a fight, or to stop a fight, or to ignore a corner throwing in a towel. He is the final judge in the ring. Some commissions allow a doctor to stop a fight, but most suggest it to the ref and the ref waves his hand.

No it shows extreme bias and the ref refusing to stop a fight after a towel thrown should have been fired. The corner stopped it. they should have just ran into the ring and then what they would be fined.


Abusing authority through technicalities to show preference for one fighter is NOT good refereeing and NOT their job.

Dubois quit. Did you see him complain at all when the fight got waved off? same sh$$ Ryan Garcia pulled vs Tank, he gave up because he was getting pummeled. Dubois also landed about 5 legit low blows, did you miss all of them?

At the very least I can agree it was a legal shot and a KD, but no way can you call it a KO because you have no idea if Usyk would get up and beat the count.


At the same time to add to your latter point as controversial as this fight was I am happy Usyk won because Dubois does not have the heart of a champion.

Getting ya nads rattled makes me spasm too. However, I believe that if Usyk had to beat the count, he would have.

He probably would've beaten the count, but that body shot hurt him bad, he would not have the 5 mins to recover, a 8-9 count and back to fighting while still hurt. Either the ref was paid off or felt extreme pressure to favor Usyk due to the highly politicized event. Every time Usyk complained, the ref was all over Dubois.

Dubois had 5 minutes rest to gas up and finish the job at the re-start.

He didn't, couldn't and lost fairly and squarely.
