Maybe you should say "Without Richard Schaefer," or "Without Eric Gomez?" If you watch the documentary, you can tell it was those two who held down the fort! Oscar was just a figure-head!

Sure Oscar was a figure head but at the same time Oscar did take the time to personally promote Canelo into being. Oscar and Richard Schafer together agreed that Canelo would be the franchise fighter but it wasn't until after Schaefer left that Oscar promoted Canelo into a super star.

Honestly I don't know why anyone believes Canelo anymore, most of what he says turns out to be BS. Example: Canelo isn't fighting Benevidez because he's Mexican? Seriously? Fighting Charlo from two weight classes lower was the best fight he could make? That was BS. Avoiding Andrade because he doesn't have an attractive style? No it's because Andrade's strength and style beats a simple pressure fighter Just recently Canelo agreed to fight Spence but when Crawford won Canelo claimed he couldn't get down to a catch weight and when Crawford agreed to come up...Canelo changed his excuse. I've said it before, Canelo might be signing big money contracts but he is full of shyt and he intends to sell meaningless BS fights.

One could say that but let’s be real, Canelo was Oscar’s personal project and he went out of his way to use his star power when he finally got him signed. It cost him millions later on, that lawsuit by Alvarez original promoter exposed it was all Oscar. While he may be a coke head and a private pervert, can’t nobody say Oscar didn’t go all the way in for Alvarez.

Canelo is overrated as hell and we can all thank Oscar for helping Golden Boy turn him into the "face of boxing", so we could watch Canelo rob Golovkin, get caught doping, try to cherry pick weak titles and get his ass kicked by Bivol. Tried to pull Jack down to a ridiculous catch weight. Now he ducks Benavidez blatantly and pulls a year and half out of the ring Charlo up two weight classes....and they are selling the fight as if Charlo won't be ring rusted and as if he will be ready to be hit by Canelo at 168. Lmfao.

The whole thing is really a joke. Never personally liked Oscar, but Canelo is what he is because Oscar pulled strings and paid judges and boxing commissions. Now Canelo talks about him being "fake". Lol. The sooner they both are gone from the sport the better.

Meanwhile Bud is chasing Canelo and ginger is making excuses because Crawford would embarrass him into retirement. Boxing is a shell of what it used to be.
