Kiko Martinez has announced his retirement.

Got a lot of respect for Kiko, fought all over the world in the away corner and always brought it. 2 weight World Champion, multiple time European Champion too, one of Spain’s best ever fighters. Enjoy retirement champ!

Thanks for the memories, champ. Anybody, anytime, anywhere was how he fought.

Got robbed several times, too. Possibly the greatest Spanish boxer of all time.

Really fun fighter to watch, his power and aggression always made him a live dog against a champion who never had his heart tested. I'll miss seeing him in the ring.

Excellent pro career. Wins over Hasegawa, Galahad, Mathebula, Romero, Dunne is a very respectable resume. Also a few robberies. Hopefully he's banked enough money and made astute investments.

Carl Frampton's two wins over prime Kiko are a bit underrated I think.
