    Is argentinean boxing dead?

Which boxer or prospect do we have now?

Castaņo doesn't have many years ahead.
Ezequiel Matthysse (Lucas nephew) was good in the amateurs but struggling a bit at the pro level. I still hope he can get to a good level in the following years.
Chino Maidana's brother already has a few loses as far as I know and is not as good as his brother.

So, what's left? it's pretty much gone at this moment.

Man, that’s true. You guys had Martinez, Maidana, and Matthysse all wreaking havoc and now nothing. I thought we were gonna get a new country producing talent for a while.

On a similar note, although not completely dead but Puerto Rico has really fallen off after decades of producing high level fighters.

Somebody that can do boxing, can do other sports as well and make more money.

In boxing only a few fighters make millions. It is not worth to get a brain damage for 50 000 dollars or a little more.

Gustavo Lemos is pretty entertaining & good, but just missed weight horribly yesterday so his fight was called off. He’s IBF mandatory at 135 I believe

I like Jermias Ponce also, but he lost to Matias & will have to build back.

Fernado Martinez is a champ at 115 & a good fighter, but not sure how long he’ll hold that belt if he fights the other top guys

Guido Schramm has looked solid during his 2 performances on Shobox, but not sure he’ll ever get to world level

I’ve heard about some Rosa kid at 140 or 147 also, but I haven’t seen him fight, but I want to.

Im sure there are more, or someone I’m forgetting, but you’re right, it has fallen off quite a bit

Argentina cranks out great female fighters by the truckload. It's been the men not carrying their weight these last few years.
