Comments Thread For: Charlo: I'm Pretty Sure After I Beat [Canelo] I'mma Have A Rematch, So I'll Be [At 168] For A Bit

NEW YORK - Jermell Charlo doesn't think he'll be a super middleweight permanently. Boxing's undisputed 154-pound champion plans to return to compete in that division. Charlo also is open to boxing at the middleweight limit of 160 pounds.

Surprising not many are calling this sham of a fight. Moving 2 weight classes up against elite boxer on planet and people reacting like its a interesting match. Why these media journalists not keeping Canelo honest about ducking Benavidez

They want to keep getting interviews and sound bitesites. There is no more Howard Cosell's anymore in the print media. These media writers and journalist are casual boxing fans who couldn't get a job writing about the NBA, NFL and MLB. Knowledge is limited don't talk about the rankings and why someone is ranked. Doesn't question the sanctioning bodies, does not question the doping agencies in boxing or the networks either. I could go on and on about the mainstream media for boxing.

yup, it's pretty much a cherry-picking fight. fighting an inactive fighter from a lower weight class who was defeated by a fighter like Harrison, ain't no real threath for Canelo.

          a good money grab

the bigger Charlo is even worse of a fight for Canelo

It’s undisputed vs undisputed between two guys who are similar in size. Heck, Jermell is even taller and has a longer reach.

My only advice to Jermell Charlo is to attack the body. All of his other prior opponents' have failed to even target Canelo's body before and that's including Gennady Golovkin. I believe he's tender down there.

Not really. They may look similar in size, but Canelo is said to walk around 200lbs solid. Derrick James said Jermell will come in 162 or 163.. that’s around 5lbs around the limit. Canelo is definitely sizeably the bigger man

If it is all about undisputed against undisputed, why not Haney against Canelo?

man, this is boxing, we have divisions for a reason. You are pretty new in this sport, this is obvious.
