At least he know’s Benn well enough to comment, unlike Dillian Whyte who’s he’s only promoted for 8 years.
Funny you mention that because I did think that was a strange comment to make.

Of all the years I’ve watched Boxing, Hearn is by far the quickest to turn his back on his fighters when they are no longer attached to him.

It’s quite remarkable. He doesn’t even try and hide it.

Surprised me too. I always got the impression him and Whyte were cool. I was expecting a full PR campaign, I suppose it’s tough to even try to defend a guy who’s failed as many times as Whyte has though.

The relationship seems strained last few years. After the failed purse bid and other instances like saying that Whyte turned down the AJ fight a few years back, he has a habit of saying that when it’s not true.

I think that’s the only reason that he’s done this now, Hearn. If not he’d be defending him. But because Whyte doesn’t really bring anything to the table for him any more he’s on his own.

He's not suspended by UKAD, though it's clear to anyone sensible that UKAD's hands have been tied on this and would like to get back to suspending him.

Not a good look for Hearn that he is trying to back Benn on this. Technically what he is saying is true, but he is being intentionally deceptive.

I have to be honest, I'd never even heard of this "National Anti-doping panel" before this fiasco and I don't understand how they have the power to tie UKAD's hands.

Yeah he’s milked all he can out of Whyte, he comes across like a leech with fighters in that respect. Brook got similar treatment towards the end of his career and that never sat right with me.

Exactly man!!! I literally thought back to this exact same incident when I saw the “I don’t know him well enough” comment.

He used Whyte as a buffer for Joshua , when the likes of Wilder wanted to fight Joshua he'd try and throw Whyte at them instead. With out his money Hearn is nothing , a nobody and even his 'chum' and big friend Bellew (and Anthony Joshua clone) would walk away ....a de****able man!

Scott Quigg too. Basically any fighter that was once with him and no longer is.

Look how he talks about Buatsi now, it’s cringe worthy.
