..If CARL FROCH Wins The Entire Super 6 Tourney...

And of course, this is a hypothetical, not a prediction, would this actually make him atleast even with Joe Calzaghe in terms of accomplishments.

    Joe Calzaghe..
    20 plus defences
Beat Bernard Hopkins, Mikkel Kessler, Jeff Lacy.
Beat a faded Roy Jones and Chris Eubank
    Remained and retired undefeated.
In a close to 2 decade-long career, he had only two fights that you could really call close.
Fought past his prime better then most in their primes.
    Left on a big note.
    Big draw, at home.

    Carl Froch..
Will have beaten Andre Dirrell as well as winning an entire tournement with the likes of Abraham, Ward, Kessler (whom he'd have to beat) and Taylor.
    Stopped/beat Jermain Taylor.
Would (within the confines of this hypothetical) still be undefeated.
Has a higher Ko ratio, which makes for a wider appeal.
Would have unified a few titles and would have his next big fight with the winner of Bute-Andrade.
Solid win over Jean Pascal who has moved up to capture a title.
Still has a solid couple of years left by the time of the tournements end.

Of course, this can be looked at many different ways. I'm not looking for, "He wont, so it doesn't matter. I don't think he will, either. To be honest. I'm talking hypothetically.

    Go for it.

He'd be better, in my opinion.

He'd be equal or pretty damn close.

He'd still be below him, but those are some big strides towards him.

If he wins the tournament and goes undefeated in doing so.

    Then I'd say yes.

Id say no he has a way to go...

I made a thread yesterday stating that froch would win this, but now im not sure.. Theres pretty much not one guy in this tournament im not excited to see except dirrell maybe. I like all of them.. Whoever wins will get my support from then until they retire.

Would be a great achievement but it wouldn't make him greater. If he remained a champion of his division until 2019 (ten years) and then moved up and won the RING belt at light heavy, then yes, he could probably be considered greater or on the same kind of level.

PS: Joe Calzaghe would have never struggled with Taylor.

If Froch went undefeated in the super 6, he would be a more accomplished middleweight in terms of caliber of opponents, than Joe C.

In my opinion Calzaghe would still own the more complete and overall strong resume and was significantly more talented than Froch, so I'd say no.

Is it possible to win the tourney despite losing in the process?

You can't even debate it. Ofcourse he will be better.

I seriously cannot believe people are even considering Froch winning the tournament, let alone going unbeaten.

He'd have a better resume than Joe.
