  • Comments Thread For: Jesus Ramos-Erickson Lubin Eyed For Canelo-Charlo Showtime PPV Undercard

Jesus Ramos is back at full strength in time for the toughest test of his young career. BoxingScene.com has learned that a crossroads bout is in play between Ramos and former title challenger Erickson Lubin. The junior middleweight clash of southpaw contenders is targeted to land as the co-feature on the September 30 Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez-Jermell Charlo Showtime Pay-Per-View event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Good fight but Lubin is chinny I think Ramos could stop him with his pressure in the mid to late rounds. Lubin has a puncher's chance but his defense isn't great and he does get hit a lot.

This fight has absolutely no chance of being boring! A war with some science in there!

Lubin and Julian Williams got ruined by the Charlo's. They weren't ready for those fights and never made it back to the top level.

Lubin is going to get wrecked.

Damn - they’re trying to find out once and for all if Lubin is still a top contender, or a good JMW gate keeper…C’mon Hammer - prove all wrong and stop this young gun in his tracks.

Definitely a maximum violence on this one. Ramos looks enormous and I imagined be he boils down to get make the limit.

Lubin has skills and can hit hard but that chin is suspect. I think Ramos size and physicality ultimately wear down and stop Lubin.

Mad respect to both of these guys for taking this fight. IMO our sport would be much better if the loser in these fights also got rewarded with a big money opportunity their next time out.

Lubin's problem is he isn't as good defensively as he thinks he is. He's going to have to knock out Ramos before Ramos knocks him out.
