Most people think Spence vs Crawford II will turn out the same. Crawford is tricky and can adapt but Spence counts on brute force.

Haney vs Kambosos comes to mind. Agreed. Stipulation should be that it at least needs to look like you had a snowballs chance in hell in order to qualify for a rematch.

Manny got schooled by Morales, dominated him in the rematch.

Joshua got smoked by Ruiz, ran to a unanimous (got the W) in the rematch.

Humberto Soto SOUNDLY outboxed and punished Francisco Lorenzo, then got robbed by Joe Cortez. Punished Lorenzo in the rematch.

Cotto was forced to take a knee after sustained punishment against Margacheato. Dominated him in the rematch.

Lennox Lewis was knocked out by Rahman (when you get knocked out at the top level, that's a mismatch). Dominated and knocked him out in the rematch.

Larry Holmes was so embarrassed and frustrated by Michael Spinks in the first fight he started throwing him. Arguably won the rematch and showed significant improvement in the game.

Rematches are NOT BAD. They should be welcomed for fighters that want the smoke.

This modern era thinking is the reason fighters are often hesitant to get in when they're undefeated - because they know that people like you - marks - will turn on them and toss them like trash the moment they lose instead of giving them a fair chance to redeem.

I'm interested to see the adjustments and what Spence will improve at in the rematch.
and I just listed MULTIPLE examples, just off the top of my head.

Rematches are NOT bad. Modern era marks have made them bad. Which is why you see so much "0" preservation.

Nobody stopped paying to see Duran after he took dominant losses.

Boxers are on their own individual journey guys, if they want to pursue a rematch 'Then that is up to them, that is competition'.

All these people complaining about rematches, must not fully understand what competition is? If a man gets beaten or does not achieve a goal 'It is a natural instinct for that individual to want to try again'.

Let these fighters play out their careers, YOU are going to complain so 'I won't tell people to stop doing that'.

You guys complaining are spectators watching boxing, you are not competing 'So contrary to this new attitude that sports fans in general have, YOU don't decide what fighters or athletes want to do'.

Note: Spence Junior has only been beaten once in his career, and he has been a World Champion for many years 'If that man wants to pursue a rematch, then he is entitled to do so' Whether people think he is going to win or not, is irrelevant etc.

None of those were mismatches. You can lose every round and its not a mismatch. You can get beat up and still not be a mismatch. This was a mismatch to the point a rematch is pointless. Spence clearly has nothing for Crawford, you cannot say the same for those examples you listed. Out classed in EVERY area.

Well said SRL also lost to Roberto Duran then made him quit. Spence can't do no worse and I doubt Bud can have back to back perfect fights.
