He got caught by VADA. If boxers arent doing 24/365 VADA then they shouldnt give an opinion.

Boxing has to many hands in the pot to properly deal with drug cheats. The WBC altered there drug program for Clenbuteeol due to the amount of Mexican boxers popping for it. The British Board & UKAD have been very inconsistent and lenient in imposing stringent drug bans, this maybe due to them lacking the financial muscle to battle promoter's in court. Furthermore, the countless American athletic commissions rarely have rules which align.

If drug testing is to be taken seriously in boxing, it would need a global collaboration between those in charge of regulating boxing to pick a drug testing program like VADA, and set out policies, procedures, and punishments. The power needs to be taken away from the promoters and sanctioning bodies.

And rightfully so. I would be pissed myself knowing a guy who came on down the stretch to knock me out in our fight possibly was enhanced.

Because he seemed to have a way of putting his punches together that I liked. And he got a late start in boxing from MMA fighting, yet worked his way to get a title shot.

In addition to the other penalties, the cheater should also have to pay for the wasted camps of any fighters who get affected. If the whole card goes down, pay for the camps of the undercard fighters also.

Well said Del Boy. I must admit to being a little physical about Derek's physical transformation a few years ago where he slimmed down a lot, and revitalized his career. He obviously has no filter and says whatever comes into his mouth in the moment but this little rant gives me more faith that he himself is clean. In which case, I wish he would have got his **** together earlier in his career, would have been a dominant WC for sure imo.
