Be funny if Robbie chinned Josh straight away.

Hope you didn't lose much brother.
Logically speaking, you are perfectly right, and I'm not wasting too much on that bet. Just taking a shot at getting a coupla hundreds with a coupla tenners, based on AJ's mental issues. Even reading his latest interview on this week's Boxing News, he's saying things that reveal his current insecurity.
I mean, all it takes is a single shot to the head to make Joshua freeze and panic. That's where I'm aiming.Comment

You're on a roll! Cong****, I wish I could wager that kind of amount, which I obviously can't right now. Essentially, the problem is exactly that: having no capital whatsoever, one is forced to take more risks instead of going for the easier odds.Comment

You could still make that play. Turn 120 into ~200 with that same exact play. You could win week after week on a shoestring budget. You're just looking for the big payout which almost always loses.Comment

Exactly.
Still, there are times when one makes some nice cash in just a couple of weeks or three, just out of sheer experience and intuition. For example, I made 500 with Cusumano KO over Kownacki (that was easy money, for me - the oddsmakers didn't consider that Kownacki was completely shot BEFORE the fight) and another 200 or so a week later, can't remember the fight right now. Logic is always better, but it doesn't always work. Saturday I had bet on Rodriguez KO 9-11, which was very possible, whereas Manny floored Lopez thrice in the last round. As I said, sometimes it's just not meant to be...Comment

People that look for big payouts always lose more than they win, it's how denegerates play and I say that respectively. Casino's live off of that mindset.

It's not oddsmakers, it's public perception. Knockout lines almost always lose and picking a cluster of rounds for a ko is like those roulette players that put money on numbers, they lose all the time.
Money line, parlays, and a more risky over/unders are how you can win on a regular basis. If you want to start winning I can make that happen.Comment

Look, I couldn't agree more on most anything you say, but at the same time I can tell you that there are periods in which I win more than I lose, in spite of the lack of mathematical thinking, so to speak.

Still, given the current moment, I'm inclined to follow your advice, at least for the upcoming weeks.Last edited by Tatabanya; 08-14-2023, 12:32 PM.Comment

War Room: to laugh a bit, yesterday - in lack of big fights - I put a few ones on two rather easy parlays to test the waters in regard to a change of betting tactics. Well, I lost both, one of them for totally improbable circumstances (McCann and Baluta, technical draw rather than the anticipated McCann win... and I had inserted that fight at the last moment, for good measure!).
So you see, I will try again, but when it comes to my way of betting, it's usually something like "lose for three weeks, win big enough for one or two weeks". On the long run your tactics are probably more remunerative, I know. Still, I hate when I lose money on easy stuff.Comment
