You're right but who did he beat for the belts again? Was it someone great who had more than one significant win in their entire career? Oh right, it was Kambosos who is a one hit wonder who got Lopez when he had significant health problems and didn't take the fight seriously at all. What a great undisputed champ Haney is. He just fought a little old Lomachenko and got a gift decision. That's how great Haney is.
Kambosos was THE MAN, period.
Just like we can't criticize Holyfield for dusting off an overweight, unmotivated Douglas after he'd beaten an unmotivated Tyson who'd beaten a frightened Spinks to unify.
Holyfield "Beat The Man That Beat The Man". It wasn't his fault that Douglas wasn't really a deserving champion.
Just like it's not Haney's fault that Kambosos showed he wasn't a deserving champion by getting countered all night long over 24 rounds by Devin Haney.

Shakur has nothing to be afraid of in Haney. He's basically a better Haney who holds less, has more killer instinct and looks to break down and stop his opponents. Haney just looks to potshot and score points. He couldn't even definitively beat Loma who Shakur is trying to get a fight with. Loma is right not to fight Shakur at this point in his career. He knows it's a lose/lose situation given no belts are at stake and there's the possibility he could get hurt bad.
Shakur has never been the B side his entire career. He turned down Warrington when Warrington was huge in the UK, made more than Herring when he challenged for his title and made more than Valdez when he unified with him. 25% wasn't going to happen when Haney offered it and 50% isn't going to be given to a mandatory challenger to any undisputed champion.
