Comments Thread For: Crawford: Every Time I Stepped Up, Proved Y'All Wrong Each Time; Just Gimme My Props

After five often-frustrating years, Terence Crawford could finally say he told you so. Crawford wasn't about to waste that opportunity in the immediate aftermath of his career-defining performance Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena. The 35-year-old Crawford surprised plenty of persistent skeptics by beating Errol Spence Jr. with such ease in their welterweight title unification fight, but the newly crowned undisputed 147-pound champion reminded those that didn't believe in him that he always promised them that he would eventually emerge as the best fighter in one of the sport's glamour divisions.

This sounds familiar great fighters with a chip on their shoulder for being doubted, great is great, TC will have the last laugh just as the others did.

He has the momentum; he gets to write his own checks now.

          Props.
          Poorly promoted though.

Reminds me of Calzaghe, only getting the big names over the pond
          in his twilight.

He was simply on the wrong side of the road, and avoided like the plague. He's beat everyone easily, travelled to Scotland against burns. Beat Brook, mean machine, porter, spence and did it all with ease.

He doesn't sell his soul to promote and stays true to who he is. Hes a true champion

Momentum he could capitalize with 3 fights at 154, Spence (if he is ****** enough for rematch), Tim (WBO) and Charlo (undisputed) but Charlo will vacate once Canelo finishes him. It will be 5 year circus at 154 for belts again. Truly unfortunate we can't witness a guy going for 3 time undisputed

154 is legit, given guys like Spence, Porter and Thurman ran down to 147 from 152 when Lara, Big Charlo, Andrade and a few others back in the day wanted to fight them.

Crawford is a top fighter but is not liked by many like Pacquiao Leonard etc. because Terence comes off as a mean guy like Tank, Hopkins & others. Street fighters who could have gone the other way in life but took up boxing instead.

Too bad Trinidad is not in the same era as Spence Crawford etc. because he was a dynamite puncher. Maybe would have lost to a slick guy like Crawford but always dangerous with one punch KO power. Better than most welters with quickness & power in both hands. Same can be said about Sugar Ray Leonard, Robinson & others.
