The last time Davis fought someone who was both ranked in the division he fought them in AND an active world titlist was all the way back in January 2017 when he fought Jose Pedraza. Since then he has faced a few ranked fighters (Garcia, Cruz) and a few active titlists (Santa Cruz, Garcia) but zero ranked titlists.
