There is a reason why other boxers are not as hard on Spence as boxing observers. The reason is that other boxers know the impact that cutting weight has on a fighter. Every fighter from Mosley, Porter, Jones Jr., Wilder, etc keeps going back to how Spence getting down to 147 lbs really impacted his performance in the fight against Bud Crawford. We are not boxers and do not go through the daily grinds and lifestyle that boxers go through. While I think that Spence got beaten up and outboxed on Saturday, he didn't seem like himself that day. His body has outgrown the 147 lb weight limit. He would do better fighting Bud at 154 lbs. Do I think he would win against Bud at 154 lbs, I don't know. But I think he deserves a chance to find out. Fellow boxers are not as hard on Spence as the general public. We all should take a wait and see approach with Spence Jr in his rematch with Bud and give him the benefit of the doubt for the champion that he is.

      Porter is an idiot LOL..

his own Daddy checked him after hearing this non-sense and said Spence is best to not get in the ring again with Bud

Can a fighter ever truly dominate another without a string or excuse makers popping up. Errol got sparked, end of. Now it’s the weight, it’s the accident, it’s this and that. One of these guys has a nutritionist the other one doesn’t. Yet the one with the food and diet expert is the one who is drained meanwhile the other guy without one was rumored to have missed weight but somehow he’s the one with the advantages. It’s ok to say “Spence isn’t who we thought he was”

this is an assumption from a doctor, a neurologist with our brain scans, a medical chart, a history chart, not a single thing but a video of an accident is making assumptions of what could be wrong with a boxer. This is a case of let me reach to justify why my guy lost. Show me Spence’s actual doctors saying it and then we can talk. Til then I could do the same thing too. He was and has been cleared to fight, he’s got the best doctors money can buy and they allowed him to continue his career. Just stop with the excuses. The least you could’ve done was blame it on the retinal which would have held more weight.

Sure Spence could use the extra 7lbs but can Derrick add many tools to his toolbox by the time the rematch comes around. That is the real issue to me. Derrick has to rebuild AJ, Ryan and now add Errol to the list.

After what I saw saturday, I'm not even sure that Spence would be stronger than Bud even at 154lbs.

Mr. Porter knows damn well it doesn't have to do anything with weight in this case but pure skillset, after what I saw last Saturday im convinced ESJ doesnt have enough ring iq to beat Bud in this lifetime. Bud might lose some speed and mobility if he goes up but not his ring intelligence.

Fleet footed fighters who can get out of range will always be a problem for Spence, he over commits and reaches. It wasn’t capitalized on until Saturday.
