Yeah Floyd buckled Oscar, but he seemed more surprised than hurt, otherwise Oscar wouldn't have continued to move forward. I think De la Hoya had the right game plan and probably would have beat Floyd in his prime. He made the first 5 rounds look easy with his jab.
Pacquiao had Oscar backing up, hiding, and laying on the ropes, which is something Floyd never did. Look at Oscar's face after both fights and tell me who landed the better/harder punches. Manny only 8 rounds while Floyd had the full 12 to do damage. Floyd did fight the bigger, better version of Oscar, but everyone seems to forget that the Mayweather- De la Hoya rematch was scheduled to take place at 147-150, which is why Oscar fought Forbes at 150. But Floyd retired, canceling the rematch, so he challenged Pac instead.
Floyd fought a much smaller Marquez who was worn from coming off 3 wars against bigger guys. Floyd didn't even try to make weight and had at least a 10-15 lb advantage, landed a lot of flush shots and still couldn't finish him. Pac is no god and has flaws, but he isn't overrated like Floyd.

No i don't think so. Pacquiao's power is still there and actually it improved more than anything else. Pacquiao, just because of his destruction of 140 pounds champ Hatton, is a real challenge for Cotto to prove he's the best at 147.
Cotto 58% Pacquiao 42%, it's a hard fight for both but as i explained too many times Pacquiao should have stayed at 140 and Cotto has exactly the tools to annihilate Pacquiao's assets.

why do you want pacquiao to stay at 140? where the guy (pac) is doing exellent and confident fighting those "natural welts"(whose picking a lightweight oponents)?

Second of all, yeah Oscar came up short in some of his big fights, but he beat Quartey, Vargas, Whitaker, and Chavez (the latter two were passed their prime, but they were still the top two guys at 140 and 147). Oscar was screwed against Trinidad and Mosley the second time. He was never outclassed in his losses except against Pacquiao and never knocked out except for the Hopkins match (which he was very competitive in against the much bigger guy). You are entitled to your own opinion, but my opinion is that De la Hoya has one of the best resumes in boxing history.
