Crawford Should Jump To 168 For Canelo Then Retire

I will admit I was someone who hated on Crawford. Can't even hate on him anymore. He's 36 and will be 37 next year. Atp I wouldn't be mad at him for only chasing the biggest money fights. I'd love go see him vs Boots but tbh I'd rather it be if Boots actually had a signature win first. If Crawford beats him now it won't do much for his legacy. Crawford should just say **** it and move up to 168 for a Canelo payday. Win or lose he will get his biggest payday and a chance to REAAAALLY make history. What does he have to lose atp?

No need to go to 168. 154 will be his 4th weight class. He will get undisputed again and retire ahead of mayweather. Even more impressive is he's fighting undefeated fighters in their prime without any catch weights or clauses and he's doing it like you said at the of late 30's.

There’s Jermell which he can just wait until after Canelo beats him up. He will take his belts at 154. Crawford already signaled to Jermell that he’s next. During round 7, while Spence was down and the ref was counting, Crawford was talking to Jermell from the corner, challenging him, telling him he’s next.

No need to do that. Why should he move up 3 weight classes for losing to Canelo, he is not that desperate.

But here's the thing. I'd love go see Crawford vs Charlo but let's be honest. If Charlo gets beat up by Canelo then moves back down, the fight won't be the same. Charlo would basically be Kell Brook after he fought GGG.

When charlo loses to canelo I can't see him going back to 154. I see him going to 160.

He should try to become lineal at minimum at 154, and undisputed if he can.

Then maybe try to pick off a belt a 160 before he retires. 168 is a big ask for a guy who started out at lightweight.
