Spence was shopworn. Lets not get carried away with Crawford hype.

I give him credit. The question is how much does he deserve. We just have to put things in perspective and not get carried away. People didn't give Spence and Crawford much credit for beating Brook because of his eye injury, so why ignore Spence's eye injury? Then there's the nearly two year layoff and multiple car crashes. All those things contributed to Spence's decline. He's just not the fighter he used to be. We have to keep that in mind when rating him.

So you're saying fatal crashes, a torn retina, and a two year layoff had no effect on Spence? That's crazy. It's clear he's not half the fighter he used to be.Comment

It's disingenuous. Again, stylistically, this was always a terrible matchup for Spence.
He always fought in straight lines with his head on the center line and zero feints. His offense and setups were always predictable (jab, jab same speed then hard hook to the body), slow feet, can't fight off the back foot, and constantly over extended when throwing.
Now you have to tell me of the things I mentioned, what did he do differently pre all the things you mentioned?Comment
