The problem is, people who still watch, vast majority of you have changed. You no longer have loyalty to the fighters or the sport, you just look for the next 'eye test'. That's not how it used to be.
That's why we're in this narrative where one loss causes so-called "fans" to completely turn on the fighter and swear them off for good.
It happened with Keef, too (Manny) . That wasn't one-sided, it was close, yet vast majority around here didn't want a rematch. Close vs. dominant is not the issue, people only want to see rematches when THEIR guy loses.
I want to see a rematch when I'm not sure that one of them showed up on the night. The way boxing fans used to think. And the way I think is how we ended up with the excellent Berto/Ortiz trilogy.
