Crawford still always would have won. Crawford is a much better fighter, but we cant pretend, Spence before this crash is the Spence as after.
Maybe not but I’m a firm believer that Bid would of beaten him much easier five years ago

Gotta respect Spence. He's a genuine top fighter, that has been bettered by a better fighter. And has the class to admit it. Crawford is TBE. It's official.

I'm not sure that Spence fought anyone anywhere near Crawford's level to really test him before his crash. I think his struggles to make the weight would be a more viable "excuse" although based on what I've seen, Crawford would do the same to him at 154. I don't see the point in a rematch and I doubt Spence's team wants him to do that. Other than maybe the 1st and 3rd round it was just a one-sided beatdown. He seemed ok at the weigh-ins and wasn't rushing to drink water after making weight so I assumed he didn't have too much trouble though.

We’ll just never know to what extent Spence’s wreck and lifestyle effected the result here. All we know is that is that he was still good enough to dominantly win his fights since, with the exception of Porter, that this fight was THE fight at welter to decide supremacy, and that Bud beat the guy everyone said he had to beat to be seen as top dog. Spence has been a great champion, and I feel for the guy seeing how he was after the fight. He lost like a champion though and deserves respect.

See AJ for how NOT to lose like a champion.

I'm not going to call the car crash and say he hasn't been the same since. No one said this when he fought Garcia or Ugas. I didn't.

Crawford was stronger, faster - he saw everything coming, and he was not effected by Spence's power. Crawford also made Spence look like an amateur a lot - Crawford made Spence pay for same mistake after mistake, after mistake. What Crawford did to Spence would have happened before the accident. Crawford was/is too much.

I don't know if Spence will be the same after this bout, however.

There is always hype involved in boxing esp in this case. Maybe Spence was a bit more protected then Crawdaddy it is possible to have been that way. Even tho many said Crawdaddy was the one with a shorter or less impressive resume in the ring. Is Spence as good as his fans thought and beleived him to be-- obviously not. Not even close Many thought this would be a close fight but it sure was nothing like that in the ring last night. Spence had a look on his face from early on of somewhere between a drunk and dummy that realized how he was in the right place at the wrong time.....

The WORST thing for us to really see how great Bud is would be a rematch. In general I think rematches suck. We already saw it. There is likely nothing Spence can do to change the outcome. Bud was just legendary here. The sneaky power shots are likely nothing Spence can prepare to avoid. Just incredible.

Tell us Spence fans… how’s it feel to be sautéed, baked & grilled in 25 minutes?
