I think that's a tall order. Can he come back down make weight? I think he has a better chance of beating guys at 140? Meaning he loses to everyone at 135. I can see him using the title for leverage. More so to Go after Teo as another poster pointed out. I doubt he coming back to 135 if he was Davis the money fight.I don't see him winning that one at 135. Stevenson 135 no. Loma that's going to be real difficult. So a one off with Regis make sense if it's a one off. Regis not a push over but yes difficultly with boxers. I figured they were going to match Loma with Stevenson next?

Good take!
Haney's going to move up to 140 fight Prograise, take his belt then he's going to sign to fight Teofimo.
Don't be surprised if he's able to defeat Teofimo simply because he has better boxing skills.
Haney's biggest draw back is that he doesn't have much punching power, consequently certain fighters give him trouble in the ring.
My belief is that Prograis, and Teofimo, will be difficult fights for him, but fights that he can win due to his better boxing skills.
There's a very good reason that Haney has opted to move up, and challenge for the titles at 140, instead of defending against Stevenson.
Just like Haney, Stevenson's doesn't have much punching power, but his IQ, boxing ability, and speed are off the chart's.
They are attributes that Haney wouldn't be able to compete with, let alone surpass for very long, and he would lose to Stevenson's superior boxing skills.

BTW Teo looked amazing against Taylor. Styles make fights if Haney can beat this version of Teo, he's got my respect. I think Stevenson might be the best of em all at 135 beyond?

Agree, but sure they'll take money under the table. Not even sure why any fan beyond a casual would care one bit about belts? There are dozens with the corruption and all these watered down belts dont mean much in themself if there being held hostage. Its who fighting for them and how often seems to get forget.
Spence has had 3 fights in 4-5 years guys like Boots and Ortiz would be tough fights for Spence aside from Crawford who they seemed to avoid for years. So if your avoiding your top competition your not really much of a champ of anything, except a sly coward. Definitely not giving back to your fans are you? After tonight you'll see why Spence has been avoiding CrawfordLast edited by P4P Forever; 07-29-2023, 04:20 PM.Comment

Teofimo did look good against Taylor, but Haney doesn't fight anything like Taylor, and is running on all cylinders.
His streak of 30 wins including Lomachenko, Kamvbosos twice, Diaz, and Linares, plus defeating 5 undefeated fighters is impressive.
I believe that he would outbox Teofimo with a bit of trouble early in a fight, but rather easily as the fight progressed.
Which would further fracture Teofimo's psyche even further than Kambosos fractured it when they fought, and making his father even more unhinged than he already is.

Don't care about the belt but I care about the match ups. Look how the 140 opened up after Taylor had those belts hostage for so long. All these fights that have happening and the potential of happening. I like the road to unify all the belts but then it bogs down the weight class. Fighters won't take risks hoping to get the shot.

Haney dint actually beat Loma in reality regardless yes got the decision. Loma stepped to him easy. I expected he'd keep that distance he couldn't. So not convinced Teo can't do the same and punch's harder. Regis fought recently got work in. Will have a full training camp should give a good indication of what he's got. Linares sure had Devin ready to go if that bell dint ring Linares sure was ringing it good. Devin a good boxer pure boxer as he has limited power as you stated.so he boxes and moves His chin is shakey. See how he looks at 140

Agree. Cantrell took care of business regardless of decision. I often notice even fighters that lost in the past, there stock actually went up if they put in good performance, Get bigger better fights. Honestly seems like PBC are Grinch's with belts. So stingy. How many years did it take to make this fight tonight and you see why. How many time has some of the biggest PBC fighter actually fight over last 3-4 years. The only thing getting Gary Russell Jr to fight was his once a year mandatory. That's it. They had nothing for him seemed to have no confidence in him what so ever after Loma. What a waste now that he doesn't have a mandatory when are we going see him again? Rather then matching these guys up getting them air time no everyone sits on the sidelines. They leave so much money on the table but over pay for faded Canelo that there feeding there guys too. PBC bunch of Grinch's. The only fight they need to make with Canelo is Benavedis. They were talking Spence Canelo lol haha
