I don’t even get what you’re arguing here. Fights happen without rematch clauses all the time. This fight doesn’t require a rematch, and the only people who think it deserves one are the Fulton fans with excuses like “Steph didn’t have to go there! But he did!” And “Steph didn’t train!”
I’ve never seen you say that Tank/Ryan needs to be run back, and that fight actually had Ryan win rounds. Steph got shut out and battered. Haney/Loma no rematch, that was close. Cruz/Tank was close, no rematch. But this one needs a rematch because Steph travelled and didn’t have to.
guess what? The fight would have never happened in the USA because it wouldn’t have sold tickets. THAT is why it happened in Japan. Steph didn’t do Inoue a favor, he got paid.Comment

Defending your belt isn’t “chasing greatness.” I’ve never even seen a Joshua nutcase claim he was chasing greatness by defending his titles against Usyk.He went there chasing greatness! Fulton (and Al Haymon) could've done to Inoue, what Kambosos (and Bob Arum) did to Devin Haney! He did not! As CHAMPION, he had all right to do so, but he didn't. If anyone doesn't see that as significant, then don't cry if you never see it again!Comment

[QUOTE=Bronx2245;n31945491]"Fulton desperately wants a do-over. A chance to prove that what took this place in Japan was nothing more then just a bad night at the office."
That's what I wanted to see! Run it back in Philly? The zip code is not going to help Fulton avoid another beatdown by Inoue if they fight again.Comment

Excellent post!
He knew what to expect after the first round. That’s why he was tentative. Zero reason to do this a second time, it wasn’t even close to having a close round
and Inoue didn’t even fight “his fight” lmfao he fought Steph’s fight! Boxed him with the jab and used slick head movement and defence. Literally what every Steph fan was saying Fulton would do on his way to an easy 12 round UDComment

He’s right, I wouldn’t have
mostly because I’m 180lbs, not a world champion, in my late thirties, and haven’t boxed in 15 years, so I wouldn’t get the chance but yeah lolComment

Tank vs. Ryan was a co-promotion, between PBC and DAZN! Both fighters were American. Tank as Champion called all the shots! Very different scenario! Cruz does what he's supposed to, I guarantee you he gets that rematch later this year! Haney had to sign with TR, and go to Australia, back-to-back, because he was the CHALLENGER! Did Fulton treat Inoue like that?

if Steph and Inoue had that fight in Philly the only difference would have been an empty arena.
