Doesn't surprise me. This is the first "big" fight in boxing that I'm going to watch probably solo. Granted my circle of boxing buds has shrank over the years, but the two I typically count on to show up will be a no show this weekend. Crazy to imagine that I'll be soloing this one.

Funny you mention the UFC card because this kid at my job (he's about 24) asked me if I'll be watching the UFC event this weekend all excited. I said no, watching the big boxing event. He said, oh nice, whose fighting lol.

I don't know what you guys think "run of the mill" and "mid level" are but that card you're referring to that Canelo had to wait for was the highest selling PPV UFC had that year.
