We all understand the politics of professional boxing well enough to know that Spence has simply been the better connected fighter. His resume is better than Crawford's only for that reason. The real question for anyone who thinks Spence's flashier resume means something is whether they really think anybody on Spence's resume would have beaten Crawford. We all know that Crawford has been better against common opponents.

What did I say that was inaccurate? Bud beat their common opponents worse. If Brook was broken, then he was also broken for Spence coming off that beat down from GGG. Spence eventually wore Brook down, but it was a very even fight before his eye came apart in the 11th. He didn't last four rounds against Crawford. What about that makes someone a fanboy?

Spence size may be key to his undoing. He's reportedly strugged to make WW for years and he's only gotten older. His inactivity coupled with his tendency to ballooon in weight may well lead to him being drained on fight night. He's hired a new chef/nutritionist for this fight apparently, but based on the promotional training videos he still seems like he's carrying extra weight this close the fight. He might well show up to the weigh-in in his usual supercut form, but I wonder if it will be a healthy cut. I have a feeling Spence is going to be flat on the night and maybe not have that 6th gear like he's shown before.

I don't rate ether fighter at the same level as Floyd Mayweather Junior or Manny Pacquiao.

But they are great fighters, and I would put both of them in and around Miguel Cotto level skill for skill overall ability wise.

They just quite simply have not got the wins or performances to put them at that level 'Although Spence Junior is for sure the most proven at 147 pounds'.

I peak Miguel Cotto would be their best win on their record etc.
