I think he'd have to fight other guys as well as Floyd, like maybe Berto, and others with names in the ranks that would eliminate all doubt. Remember, to be the best, you have to beat the best, and there's a lot of good talent out there.

I'm not saying Floyd doesn't deserve to be placed up there because he's clearly one of the most skilled fighters in the game but if coming back after 2 years and getting the #2 spot by beating someone like Berto, then it throws the whole P4P system into disrepute IMO.

****, Mosley got pushed up to #3 the day after he confronted Mayweather in the ring LOL.

I'm not sure really. P4P seems to work best when both recent achievements and ability are taken into account, kind of half objective half subjective, and here you'd have Cotto with the edge on recent merit and Mayweather on skills

I think The Ring would definitely bump Mayweather up to 1st for what it's worth.

Floyd is next in line for P4P, Cotto will have to face Floyd to take that title if he gets past Manny

                  Wrong there buddy.

What the ring those is if you beat a guy you get his spot, look at their divisional rankings thats what they do. It is wrong but thats how they do it.

Cotto will be p4P #1 if He beats Pacquiao

In all reality he should be #2 if he beats Pacquiao tho!

By the way, Cotto should be ranked top 5 already.

he should be ahead of B-Hop and Mosley.

B-Hop is 3-3 on his last 3 fights and havent foguht since he beat Pavlik last october and Mosley is 2-1 since 2007 and he is 1-1 at WW and that losyt is to Miuel ****ing Cotto.

if you go by body of work, skills and accomlishment Cotto should be #4 right now!!!

The Ring ratings are biased to Golden Boy Fighters. There's a serious conflict of interest there. If Cotto wins they're putting him at number 3. 1. Floyd 2. Shane 3. Cotto
