Comments Thread For: Keyshawn Davis: Andy Cruz Had An Average Debut; He Got A Lotta Catching Up To Do

Keyshawn Davis didn't come away overly impressed by Andy Cruz's professional debut. The heavily hyped Cuban prospect easily out-boxed Juan Carlos Burgos in the 10-round opener of Cruz's pro career Saturday night at Masonic Temple in Detroit. Davis paid close attention to Cruz's first professional bout because Cruz edged the Norfolk, ******ia native by split decision in the lightweight gold medal match at the 2020 Summer Olympics nearly two years ago in Tokyo.

Keyshawn Davis love him or hate him he's being his typical self as if he's the best thing to lace them up. I just hope he always remember the 4 ass whippings he took from the man he's criticising. I can't wait to someone beat the crap out of his arrogant ass! Message me back too, I'm from Detroit little boy........

Davis reminds me of Jared Anderson: thin-skinned when given constructive criticism (Davis/Eddie Hearn; Anderson/Tim Bradley) and constantly bragging about their modest-to-date accomplishments. I don’t see either ultimately living up to their extreme hype.

This American bum needs to put some respect on his father's name.

I don’t see how this fight gets made unless they both build to the point where they are p4p number one and two, and it’s a massive ppv. If Cruz wanted the fight he could have signed with top rank. Perhaps uncle Bob didn’t make an aggressive play for Cruz because he didn’t want to be forced to make the fight. Boxing sucks.

Okay, davis fought Burgos in his 6th fight at 8 rounds, and he is criticizing Cruz for fighting the same guy, at 10 rounds in his very first fight. I think is envy.
