He's 41 with nothing left to prove. Hopefully he has money in the bank. What is is supposed to do, announce his last fight? That never works, just ask Cotto and BHop

Golovkin didn't go out with a whimper, you did Sanchez. After Golovkin got rid of you, you haven't had a note worthy fighter to speak about.
Consequently you've had your feelings hurt, and are now trying to discredit/put down a fighter that you had nothing but praise for when you trained him.
How dishonest can you be, about the best fighter you had the privilege of training for so many years, it's hard to see a partnership end, but don't make it worse by being bitter.
That said Golovkin shouldn't have given up the middleweight titles he fought so hard to win, so in that sense Golovkin didn't go out with a ****.
But we don't know why Golovkin chose not defend his titles, there can be legitimate reasons that he's chosen to keep quiet, or to himself.Last edited by Boricua181; 07-21-2023, 10:47 AM.

There is certain level of saltiness in Abel words true that but GGG has remained quiet after his last fight we still dont know if he'll ever comeback or hang em up....personally I'd still would like to watch him fight.

For context, he's saying GGG went out without any fanfare while quietly dropping his belts and seemingly uninterested in competing with any top contenders. That's his choice, I can't blame him for feeling somewhat frustrated with the sport that robbed him of 2 wins. He doesn't owe anyone anything. He did his talking in the ring and was a top ten earner.BlakBread904 likes this.

Let's be honest though, Sanchez did a lot more work than most trainers in promoting GGG.
Tom Loeffler is a quiet beta male who couldn't promote ****e. GGG obviously couldn't speak ENglish as well. It was Sanchez who really built the GGG brand with his mouth. He was more than a trainer to GGG. He also coined the term MEXICAN STYLE which is what GGG used. Most of GGG's fans are mexican. His viewership are all from the Mexican audience. This is largely due to Sanchez.
Without Sanchez GGG would be as popular as Janibek rn.
Ded fkn srs. It's also because Sanchez spoke that language and talked chit to Canelo that got Canelo to ultimately sign the contracts. You think Canelo would pay attention to Janibek if he was in the same era? No. He has garbage promotion.
On the other hand, GGG gave Sanchez his biggest paydays ever. He was paid for his duties. Now he can go back to training nobodies.

hes over 40 now and he got his once last big pay day against canelo. i dont even like ggg much but i still wouldnt trash him like abel here, abel sounds salty.
he could have either quit on a high note or gotten destroyed but he is somewhere in the middle and by hanging on he got some more paydays in, good for him. his timing is gone and he is pretty much shot but he still has power so people cant just swarm /run in on him .

doesn't matter. it's a hurt or be hurt game. if you get decked, KOed that's years off your life.
Cheering cuckolds like you like to see that.
but it's not good for the fighter himself. If someone can walk away unscathed with 8 figures. They won. This is prize fighting.JAB N MOVE
