Denys Berinchyk will share a card with Oleksandr Usyk for the first time in nearly eight years. The unbeaten lightweight contender is set for a scheduled 12-round, regional title defense versus former title challenger Anthony Yigit, promoter Alex Krassyuk confirmed Thursday. The bout will take place on the undercard of Usyk's WBA/IBF/WBO heavyweight title defense versus London's Daniel Dubois atop a TNT Sports Pay-Per-View on August 26 from Stadion Wroclaw (Tarczynski Arena Wroclaw) in Wroclaw, Poland.

Interesting fact about this matchup is that it is a rematch from the their olympic thriller fight which Berinchyk won a very close decision.

I did not know that. I remember Yigit's spirited attempt against Ivan Baranchyk, he had a grotesque swelling on his face but tried to gut thru. I thought he might give Rolly Romero some problems but he looked like a deer on roller skates in that fight.

Sadly, I dont think he has much left in the tank anymore. I see him getting stopped against Berinchyk.
