  • Comments Thread For: Spence Anticipates An Aggressive Crawford: "I See Him Coming Out A Bit More Assertive"

Patience is something that Terence Crawford both practices and preaches. Come July 29th, however, stoicism may not be the most pragmatic approach. Errol Spence Jr., the current IBF, WBA, and WBC 147-pound champion, and Crawford's upcoming dance partner, has

IMO I think both will be careful for about the first 2 rounds, then all hell will break loose! I’m getting super excited for this one. I’ve even run into some friends that don’t really watch boxing, casuals at best, but they are talking about the fight.

It will go the distance but Spence will clearly own this fight.

In my opinion, all Errol Spence has to prepare for, is a lot of knots- speed knots, frogs, ouchies, big knots, little knots, goose eggs, bumps, etc, all over his god damned head

Crawford has some Mayweather to him in terms of his ability to adjust to his opponents style. I wanna see how he adjusts to Spence once Spence gets into a rhythm and I want to see how Spence reacts to that. Both can be touched and both have been hurt so this might come down to who lands clean first, but both are pretty durable.

Might be a case of 2 fights in 1. I’m hoping for it. I love bouts with constant changes in momentum and I think we will get that in this one. I think both are great and both want to prove it. This is the biggest fight for both of their respective careers and I think they both know this coming into it. In my opinion, this is by far the biggest and most significant welterweight match up since Mayweather vs Pacquiao. Maybe more so because Crawford and Spence are both undefeated.

When was the last time we had a welterweight unification with both boxers undefeated?

Hats off to both teams for FINALLY getting it done.

I haven’t really seen that so far. I remember Mayweather vs Pacquiao getting significant main****** news coverage. I haven’t seen that for this. There should be more eyes on this one. Good for the sport.

As of now, I am thinking the opposite: Crawford comes out real slow, basically giving away the first two rounds due to inactivity as he gets distance and timing down. Spends rounds 3-8 pot shotting and moving, probably winning all those rounds with the tactic of not getting hit.

I see Crawf playin chess as he always does in the 1st few rounds. Then he turns it up and manages to stop Errol in 10.
