They don't have a promoter remember?

"PBC are there own promoters" so you're right. Its on the fighters in this case. But this fight sells itself.

    700k-800k ppv buys

In this particular case, Bud is right, but it doesn't work without the right dance partner. Controversy sells, always, but I actually like the level of respect he and Errol have for each other. Even Spence's "Big Fish" shirts. Bud seems to get a laugh out of those.

Why not pay for the pay per view if you think it's going to flop? In support of the best fighting the best.

Big talk only impresses if you win. Ask Rolly, Keith Thurman, Broner & other big talkers.

When was the last time ESPN did a boxing PPV that hit a million buys? Oh yeah, that would NEVER.
I thought Fury-Wilder II did more than a million buys

Because if you worked somewhere else - like on construction sites, or food service - I guarantee WAAAYYY more people would be talking about boxing than hockey.

People make this mistake all the time. Just because your circle doesn't talk about something doesn't mean no one else does.

I doubt any of the people around you are talking about the music artist Peso Pluma. Yet he is one of the most-streamed artists in the world - both in the US and worldwide - on Spotify. Don't make this mistake of assuming everyone is like you and your peers.
Boxing is a strange sport, it’s loved by the poor and the rich with very little love from the white middle class. Those who do still love it in the usa are usually black Americans and Latinos of any socioeconomic base and wealthy white Americans who can spend thousands of dollars on good seats. The country I’m from, it’s overwhelmingly white. The usa is a strange country when it comes to boxing

Bud Crawford has no personality and no understanding of fight promotion. I don’t think he could sell the fight if he tried, he’s just that boring a guy

This what I was going to say. Bud has zero personality and rarely you see him in an interview.
