  • Frank Martin vs Edwin De Los Santos, will it be made next? Who wins?

Who do you think wins this fight?

    According to this site:

"The 23-year-old De Los Santos (15-1, 14 KO), who dropped a split decision to still-unbeaten William Foster III on a 2022 ShoBox card, burst into lightweight contention by blasting out Jose Valenzuela eight months later. He hasn’t fought since, allegedly due to an inability to find willing dance partners."

    ----------------
He had a stunning win against Valenzuela, supposedly the showcase fighter in that fight, with De Los Santos being a late replacement.

That was in September of last year. He basically disappeared after that fight. He reappeared almost a year later when he beat Adorno early this month.

Don't worry we'll give them time.

Just remember the date they each last fought:

Edwin De Los Santos: July 8, 2023

    Frank Martin: July 15, 2023

I don't think there would be any problem if they get their own respective "money" fights sooner than later.

should 100% happen next why TF not!

excellent fight, two hungry fighters ready to take that next step, even better if Devin Haney drops those Belts and this ends up being for a Belt

Fans need to focus on these types of fights rather than always asking for so-called "big" fights. This sport needs many faces of boxing, instead of just focusing on one. It also needs rivalries. If it's a close fight, then do a rematch, then a trilogy. Loser doesn't have to be forgotten and wait for ages to get his next fight. Rivalries means you're no longer on your own promoting yourself. You help promote each other out.

          You know what's funny?

The loser, Jose Valenzuela, in that fight with De Los Santos, reappeared earlier than the one who won, Edwin.

Jose suffered another loss in a controversial decision last March vs Colbert. It's a joke of a sport. Big wins lead to nothing.
They lead straight to being kept on the shelf for long stretches of time. This sport never fail to keep things predictable as night to day to night.

Both are available to fight. Will it be made? Let's hope so.

There's also Isaac Cruz, but nobody knows if he was actually promised the Tank rematch.

All three are available for one another now, but fans need to wait when they'll be coming back. It's another long wait as their average length of their layoff before their last respective fights was 8 long months.

I expect a loooong wait before fans get to see these so-called fighters back in the ring again. No, I don't see it getting made.

Expect to see them back in 7 long months time minimum. It's the pussification era like others have mentioned.

PBC guys Frank Martin, Edwin De Los Santos, Isaac Cruz are available for one another at this moment. Their last respective fights are not far apart. Which means they can start negotiations as we speak. Fans should expect no excuses not to fight each other. Same street, same house, same kitchen, same dog, same uncles Al and Stephen.
