AJ and Wilder both alike they took a beating yet want to pin the blame on a long term team member (Breland/Mckraken) who they threw aside when the going got tough for them, cause its easier to tell themselves that they were part of the problem and not themselves

Unlike Wilder, AJ didn't take a beating. It's obvious that McCracken couldn't get AJ to the next level. He is a good but ain't an elite trainer. I reckon AJ is in the best position to rate his trainer than you or anybody else.Last edited by Boxviewer; 07-17-2023, 04:00 PM.Comment

He also blamed R Garcia. When he didn't even let Garcia be his main trainer
AJ didn't take a beating? Might want to rewatch the fight. Going down 4 times is taking a beating, till he finally quit in his corner and didn't want to continue, if he did how many knockdowns did you want to see 5? 6? 7?Comment

I've always said it. Over in Britain, the only defense they teach is how to get ur face broken. They say, "BLOCK IT WITH YOUR CHEEK BONE". And I've said for like a decade that AJ has to get away from McKracken if he wants to improve. I saw that while he was physically strong, his skills weren't improving, his technique was about the same year after year, and it even looked like it got worse at one point. So AJ ain't lyingComment

Froch isn’t envious. He was always arrogant. He was like that villain in wrestling that always had the hot valet behind him while he told the crowd how cool he is. He was in some great fights. Rock solid chin & massive heart. Not the most skilled or fastest fighter but he more than made up for it with his toughness & power. I remember his fight with Jean Pascal. That was a war. Getting shut out by Jermain Taylor only to knock him out late in the 12th. Ward refused to fight Bute after winning the super six & then Froch not only exposed Bute but he destroyed him & took that fat paycheck along with his belt. The 2 fights with Groves were good too.Last edited by joe strong; 07-17-2023, 07:23 PM.Comment

That was my whole point - Froch had a superb chin. If Joshua fought like Froch he would have been KO'd about 10 times by now. Froch could get away with being sloppy and taking risks.Comment
