If Williams beats Pavlik, is he HoF worthy?

He'd be 2 time Welterweight champion, Junior Middleweight champion, and then the Undisputed Middleweight champion. That's quite an accomplishment already. Based just on that so far, would he be eligible for the Hall of Fame after he retires?

The whole 2 time welter champion sounds impressive as if he won 2 separate titles. So the loss actually makes him sound better to the layperson.

No, HOF status and the legacy of a fighter is based on quality of opposition beaten and in ring performances not so much title belts won.....he maybe in someday but this isn't the particular fight to do it.
