If Williams beats Pavlik, is he HoF worthy?

He'd be 2 time Welterweight champion, Junior Middleweight champion, and then the Undisputed Middleweight champion. That's quite an accomplishment already. Based just on that so far, would he be eligible for the Hall of Fame after he retires?

    No.

On paper it's great, but who did he really beat for those belts?

    Mitchell, Margarito, Quintana, and Phillips.

    That alone speaks volumes.

Tell him to defend a title successfully first.

holy crap! the Williams hype never fails to amaze me

It will be his biggest win but he has to fight good opposition and win for a while and maybe defend a belt once like the previous poster suggested.

No, but he'd already be well on his way.

No, but he isn't off to a bad start. "Start" being the key word. He has a ways to go.

I think he can be considered a top fighter and I sure hope he gets good matches and more exposure, he has the tools to be a hall of fame boxer, so does pavlic by the way

He hasn't won a championship in any division yet, though he is the best light middleweight currently practioning. He won paper titles at 147 and 154, but Mayweather was the champion at 147 and 154 is still vacant. If he beats Pavlik then he finally becomes a champion and it will open up several opportunites for him and as long as he capitalizes and then contiues to do so, then yes. There are a lot of "buts" and "what if's" involved. He has some real talent, now he needs opportunites and not to waste them.

He has quite a ways to go until he is in the Hall of Fame discussion. On his way, but he has a lot more work to do.
