Good read as always. Liked the insurance question. Yeah that would suk to lose out on a $10K+ camp. That's why guys like Saunders and Andrade are soo risky to take. I belive between both of them they canceled like 8-10 fights.

And I'm pretty sure Zurdo and Ryan cost Goldenboy some good $$$$$ with all their cancellations. Zurdo was over 8 lbs overweight not even CLOSE!!

Let's not forget he also missed that weight TWICE and had to give up $70,000

Bread nailed it when speaking about Canelo vs Benavidez. Canelo fans are like love struck females who are shown actual video of their man cheating on them,
and they still deny it. Don’t know how much more proof is needed for them to know that Canelo is ducking Benavidez. It’s clear as day. Neither him nor Reynoso want to deal with the type of fight Benavidez will make them fight because Canelo will likely gas and may not see the 12th round.

Also to be fair Andrade has a LOT more ducks then Canelo does. And Andrade passed on the Parker fight which would of made him a mando which Ryder stepped up an won then got the fight. These are facts.

Viewing Canelo vs Charlo as a Pac vs de La Hoya type fight is wishful thinking. Charlo loses rounds because he doesn't throw enough punches, and he uses his power to bail him out. I don't think that will work against Canelo. I have plenty of criticisms of Canelo, but his chin isn't one of them. I think Charlo's best shot is to be plenty active and go to the body.

I don't understand the insecurity some people must have that they just can't acknowledge that Boots is a special talent, but instead try to bring up his "poor" defense bs to the conversation.

because some people are cynical, now if he beat crawford or spence that could be special, hes yet to contend for a title yet even tho i think he could have gone a route to get a shot, correct me if im wrong on that tho

Ugh, early Alvarez was infuriating to watch. Baldomir... N'dou... Hatton... Rhodes... Gomez... Cintron... really shitty match-ups. I get that they were merely showcases to build up his star power, but at the time I just couldn't see the hype. I actually found his style boring as hell right up until the Mosley fight when he suddenly unleashed his body punching skills.

Taking that Lara fight in 2014 after Floyd outboxed him in 2013 was ballsy.
For all the shit we give him at this stage in his career, we really shouldn't disregard the run he had in 2013–2014. He fought 3 of that era's slickest black fighters (Trout, Mayweather, Lara) in the space of about a year. OK, to me he lost all 3 of those fights, but Bread's right in saying it was ballsy.
