There’s this heavyweight boxer I know who’s 4-1 as a amateur he’s 26 right now and hasn’t had a amateur fight in 3 years I was advising him to take atleast 7 more fights as amateur and try to go pro since he is up there in age he says he would like to have 30 amateur fights before he go pro. Yall think he is making the right decision even though he is up there in age for not being pro or is he right having 30+ plus amateur fights and going pro at the age of 31-32 ?
Should this boxer get 30 amateur fights before turning pro ?

I'm a super heavyweight lol, it really depends on the area.
Besides, joe joyce started boxing at like 23 and look where he's at, even as an old man.
It'd be better if he has an amateur career or atleast some title so he wouldn't be fed to the sharks to pad someone's record.
And yeah, HW are ****, if he's good, he can go for it.Comment

3 years ? Regardless of any excuses, he could have made something happen by now if he was that serious
Sounds like you should stop wasting your own time thinking about his boxing career because its obviously not on his mindComment

This is one of those "asking for a friend" type of threads if you catch my drift.
But yeah OP, you wont know until you try, just try to have a job or something...just incase.Comment
