Sounds like they made most people happy with this move from Showtime to PrimetimePPV surprised i wanted to watch Nonito back in the ring, at first i thought someone had insulted his woman again before a fight when his name got removed from the fight card in the A.M. today but nice to hear that Miss Nonito is safe her ****** ears are in tact and both can be in the corner for a fight card of more respectful to Mr. n Mrs Donair's. I would never talk dirty to his wife, well not in the ring anyhow.

Do you know how a good or even great fighter seemingly is ageless, then he has a fight where he suddenly can't perform anything like he used to & gets destroyed? That's when they say he got old overnight. Well, that happened once for Nonito in his second fight with Inuoe. Usually when that happens, the fighter hangs 'em up. I hope Nonito doesn't get old again vs Santiago.Comment

Donaire, however, relies primarily on power and shot placement, timing, and fight IQ. Power is the last thing to fade. You still wouldn't want to take a punch from Mike Tyson, for instance. Shot placement and timing and fight IQ are all tied to experience. That's part of why Donaire's style has aged so well, and why he was still knocking out undefeated champions and contenders after the first Inoue loss. I think he and his wife are very good at training smart. Santiago will have to catch him early with a shot he doesn't see to have the best chance to win, to just as Inoue did. Punch resistance may fade as he gets older, so that might play a factor. But unless that Inoue knockout really affected him (and I think he would have retired if that were the case), I think he'll still have plenty left to be competitive or even knockout Santiago, and keep breaking his own records for oldest bantamweight champ.Comment
