Comments Thread For: Edwin De Los Santos Believes He Has The Power To KO Shakur Stevenson

Fantasy and reality are often two completely different worlds. So far, Shakur Stevenson is realizing that. The newly turned 26-year-old dreamed of aggregating every world title at 130 pounds and becoming the division's undisputed champion. No one in the ring appeared capable of stopping his desires, but that infamous weight scale had other ideas.

De Los Santos just fought. Schofield just fought. Martin fighting soon. Cruz fighting soon. Zepeda fighting soon. Muratalla fighting soon. Shakur will be getting Haney or Loma soon (via WBC order). De Los Santos needs to be looking for Schofield, Keyshawn, Jamaine Ortiz, or a stay-busy fight, until all this sorts out! Maybe GRJ is looking for a comeback fight?

I heard Haney and Loma are in talks for a rematch right now. If that's true Shakur should fight Ortiz, if that can't b made for whatever reason DLS isn't a bad fight. 135 is stacked, we "should" b getting great fights for years.

Where’d u hear that? Most recent news I’ve heard is Haney-Prograis is close. Haney’s father told someone in an interview Dev is moving up. Haney-Prograis or Haney-Barboza looks likely

Ortiz would make a good prequel for a Loma fight. He's got good skills and all that experience sparring Loma.

All these people who think "Loma looked not as good against Ortiz so he sucks" have clearly never done any fighting. FFS, the guy was coming off a huge layoff doing no training because he was serving in the military with all kinds of ring rust, AND fighting someone he's sparred with so many times that he's used to Loma's style and timing.

Would be a "high stakes chess match" as Tim Bradley loves to say.

If Haney makes a deal with Lomachenko, then Shakur needs to beg Arum to call Al Haymon! If they can make Fulton vs. Inoue on ESPN, they can make Tank vs. Shakur on SHO! Jamaine Ortiz would be Plan B!

If De Los Santos is really serious about Shakur, he should start
by asking his management team if he is allowed to fight on ESPN.

Stevenson is hungry for fights. He's tired of waiting. Take advantage of it.

Cool but does he have the skill to land the punch needed?
