It was a pretty good fight in 2015 when they were basically promising up and comers. In 2023 it feels so underwhelming and uncalled for. Whyte has sunk so low at this point that you'd think a lot of fighters would have retired, but here he is getting yet another big fight, its ridiculous. As for AJ, he still has a bit of star power level but he is a shadow of what he was pre-Ruiz. Its not a fight that has any real bearing on the division now, especially if it goes as expected and AJ wins.
