      Floyd has not improved.
But I still think he is good enough to beat Manny.

In all honestly Floyd is not at his peak anymore, and I commented before his last fight that although I expected him to destroy Marquez, that even if Marquez found some way to beat him it wouldnt mean what it would have a few years ago. I still stand by that. It will be the biggest win for Pac if he gets it, but he is fighting a slightly past his best Floyd, just like I said Marquez was.

Pac has gotten better but lets not go crazy here. You have to look at where they started.

Pac was an extremely raw fighter and had no amateur background.

Pac had much more room for improvement since the disparity of his talent:skill was EXTREMELY loopsided. He was almost all pure talent. So ANY increase in the skill department would be a multiplying factor for
          his overall boxing ability.

PBF however was already much more balanced and had more evenly developed his skill set to compliment his natural talent. Which he has refined over the years but due to it already being so well developed it isn't as drastic a change.

So of course it is easier for Pac to improve than PBF. But the question remains has he improved enough to where he is a better fighter than PBF?

Actually I wonder if Floyd has improved at all since his days at 135 and 140, where he was killing people. He hasn't had to work on offense to any real level and any improvements defensively are nothing major as it was already at a great level. The lack of need to work on his skills means those skills he needs may be rusty. Pac has been forced to improve greatly and use his all around skills, Floyd hasn't.

Because he has refined his style to three punches and leading the other guy into them. Mayweather also hits after clinches are broken up for a quick gimme point or two. So, in effect, he has gotten better at his style of fighting but his attitude overshadows his accomplishments IMO.

actually these claims are all false....

Mayweather has out landed ALL of his opponents in punches landed that he has faced in his career.....except for castillo in their first fight....
