Spence, Crawford, Ennis will be great to see but neither this or the next generation will ever witness ANYTHING this electrifying! = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lidFI-Yu6wLast edited by richardt; 07-09-2023, 01:22 AM.Comment

It's great having a little bit of a golden age of welterweights but these guys will never make me forget my all time favorite fighter. Good God this guy had lightning bolts in his hands!! = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lidFI-Yu6wComment

People that can't separate their racism from boxing have a very low IQ. This is an example.Comment

Ennis won, OK but showed his true nature... hugging to take advantage even if he didn´t need to, extending his arm for too long which is illegal, and Villa just kept coming even if hurt, that shows you the character of each culture. Villa was going to lose OK but if he was an African-American, he could have just jabbed from far away, hugged, ran, not engage in order to go the distance. Instead his Latin machismo made him (wrongly) attack no matter what, evem when he was hurt. Was it dumb? Maybe. But that shows that some cultures are different than others. Ennis is good yes, but not as spectacular as Vergil Ortiz. The moment Ennis feels even the slightest punch, he hugs.Last edited by richardt; 07-09-2023, 01:49 AM.Comment

The fight that really mattered was Leonard vs Hearns 1 when they were both at their peak. Leonard should not have fought Hearns at the higher weight, but both were great. No one today has that blinding speed and combinations like Leonard had but that doesn't mean some can't become modern greats. Camacho when he was at 130 had those blinding combinations but he changed after the Rosario fight. The fact that Leonard was extremely inactive and going up in weight against Hagler, he did great no matter if people thought Hagler, or he won. But this mini-golden era with July 29th is pretty damn good with the top 2 and then 3 including Ennis and some others thrown in for fun.Last edited by richardt; 07-09-2023, 02:26 AM.Comment
