Comments Thread For: Hearn Canelo Has No Problem Facing Benavidez, Bivol is The Bigger Challenge

Canelo Alvarez has never looked for the easy way out. For the 33-year-old, his main focus has always been world title chases and fighting the best fighters that are out there. However, according to some, Alvarez is eschewing his biggest challenge.

Bivol is the bigger challenge, but Benavidez offers the risk of greater reputational damage in the event of a loss.

There is nothing to gain from fighting David. If he fights Bivol, he can correct a loss he had or he could lose again. Either way, beating Bivol does way more for his legacy.

Canelo likely loses to both, but Bivol will probably give him another one sided schooling for 12 rounds whereas Benavidez is going to look to put a beating on Canelo. The canelo we’ve seen over the last 3 fights probably won’t see 12 vs Benavidez and if he does, he’ll take a lot of punishment. That’s why he’s choosing a 154 pounder instead.

Benevidez is the fight Canelo should take. Fighting Bivol again results in a loss and a ready made excuse that he is the bigger fighter. Benevidez is in his weight class and is the most feared fighter. If Canelo does not face Benevidez there will be another stain on his record. The biggest stain being his taking of illegal substances.

Strange how he so eager to get in with the 'bigger challenge' but refuses to get in the ring with Benavidez. Its clear who Canelo thinks is the biggest challenge and it ain't boring Bivol.

Both are threats Bivol will give him a boxing lesson, Benavidez would be back n forth the same Benavidez that fought plant vs the Canelo that fought plant. Morrell to me is Canelo biggest threat @168. Dudes to fn athletic, huge reach, power in box hands with a Cuban boxing IQ shhh he would be the one to tko Canelo

You have to really hate Canelo to say he's ducking a guy to rematch another guy who soundly boxed his ears off. It is what it is.

I'm pretty sure Benavidez wil be 1 ofnthe 3 PBC fights. And then the same two clowns will have to find a new boogeyman. I think suk suk said Canelo was ducking Lemuix at 1 time.. I know he said that about Saunders. Always take the opposite of what he says. He is always wrong on predictions.
