Bivol is the bigger challenge, but Benavidez offers the risk of greater reputational damage in the event of a loss.

This, bivol he can just say is a light heavyweight even if its at 168. Corrupt WBC even came in and said they would protect canelo's belt for him for Bivol at 168 by refusing to sanction it to save canelo face from not putting it on line so he could lose a title defense fight to Bivol and STILL be a champ at that weight....

Canelo likely loses to both, but Bivol will probably give him another one sided schooling for 12 rounds whereas Benavidez is going to look to put a beating on Canelo. The canelo we’ve seen over the last 3 fights probably won’t see 12 vs Benavidez and if he does, he’ll take a lot of punishment. That’s why he’s choosing a 154 pounder instead.

I agree that Canelo hasn't looked in top form in his last few fights.
But to say he won't last 12 with Benavidez ( who couldn't put away Plant ) seems like a stretch.

Strange how he so eager to get in with the 'bigger challenge' but refuses to get in the ring with Benavidez. Its clear who Canelo thinks is the biggest challenge and it ain't boring Bivol.

So you want to trash Bivol, but unlike Benavidez, Bivol actually has some defense and he is not there to get hit. Bivol does everything better than Benavidez. But skilled guys are boring for you, ok.

Well, Canelo knows he can`t beat Bivol. If he thought otherwise, he would have offered Bivol better terms.

Canelo is not fighting Bivol next, so what Hearn says makes zero sense.

Benavidez? Maybe canelo fights him, maybe not. To be honest, Benavidez is not a very big challenge for him.
