Comments Thread For: Jaron Ennis: I Can't Wait To Beat Up Villa, Break Him Down; Really Want His Team To Stop It

By Keith Idec - Jaron Ennis seemed somewhat amused when some of Roiman Villa's comments were translated into English during their press conference Thursday at Showboat. Ennis is sure, however, that Venezuela's Villa will realize relatively quickly Saturday night that he made a mistake by insisting on fighting the IBF interim welterweight champion in the fight after Villa upset Rashidi Ellis on January 7 at

“There’s a lotta things I coulda did better,” Ennis said. “And I feel like if I woulda listened a little more [to father/trainer ‘Bozy’ Ennis], and stayed behind my jab and cut the ring off a little bit more and touched that body earlier, I probably woulda got a stoppage. But, you know, it comes with the game. It’s a learning experience and I’m glad I went 12 rounds."
So basically he ignored his corner.

Respeck for acknowledging what you did wrong, young man.

But you've been doing a lot of chatter about Spence/Crawford and overlooking 'Eye Test Killa'.

Ellis did the same, Bocachica did the same.

Don't overlook this man. Do what you need to do to make a statement. Break the streak if you can. Show that you learned from that last fight.

He'll be straight in front of you Boots. Better look better than your last fight. No excuses

I fully expect Ennis to win, but something is telling me that this fight might get interesting. Villa puts on a ton of pressure and while he's a little wild with his attack, he could become a problem if ( it's a big if) he can take Ennis punches. If he can take a punch, this fight is going to be really good and interesting.

The cutting the ring off is easier said than done.

Boots will resort to boxing Roman especially if he finds return fire dangerous
Will be a boring fight imo

Won't be a boring fight if Ennis fights like he did in his last fight with Chukhadzhian. He didn't stop coming trying to drop Karen on the canvas.

If Villa can take a punch, this can be a very interesting fight. Boots doesn't score late stoppages.

I’m not ruling Villa out. He can crack and will be there to throw punches. Boots by mid/late stoppage, though.
