Seen video of AJ training and he actually looks in good shape, more lean and he was putting his combinations together nicely. I think he's going to blow through Whyte to be honest who was never skilled just had a decent left hook and that's about it although Joshua will always be chinny so Whyte has the power to do something just don't think he will.
Right. It was a rhetorical question, but I agree. My point is that I dont want recycled names and 3-part fights and other creative ways of dodging worthy opponents.
I'm not surprised to see criticism of Joshua making this fight.
But I'm still surprised he's gone down this route. If there's a big fight on the horizon (and anyone denying Wilder v Joshua is a big fight doesn't have a grasp on reality) then why take a chance on fighting someone as decent as Whyte?
Whyte carries little credibility now. But he's been in with good competition, he's a top 10(ish) fighter, and he could upset the path to Wilder. A loss v Whyte and AJ doesn't very the same kind of draw into that fight.
Joshua's not a champion now. He's on the comeback. He didn't need a fight at this level. He should win but he's rolling an unnecessary dice.
