Respect Martin for his mindset of willing to fight anyone at anytime. Other heavyweights should note

Martin had a late start in his career and improved a bit while gaining experience. He is at the twilight of his career and should be taking any challenge. A big win can potentially put him in a better position. He has nothing to loose and is a brave fighter.

I have to say that I always kind of liked Martin and found myself pulling for him in his fights.

He's not among the elite but he can give anyone a decent fight with the size, southpaw stance and big power. Other than his blowout loss to AJ, he's usually in entertaining fights even on the losing side: Kownacki, Ortiz, Anderson.

Some decent potential matchups Martin can be placed in that should provide some fireworks.

I'd like to see him fight that guy that just beat Kownacki.

But if Wilder needs a tune-up ahead of December I'd wouldn't mind this one bit.

I like all these fights for Martin. Martin is a tough gatekeeper ready for fight everyone and he is entertaining to watch.

Plus when you look at the top 10, pulling an upset isn't completely impossible.
