Comments Thread For: Morrell's Promoter: Munguia is Not on Morrell's Level, Has Nothing To Offer Benavidez

I love an honest take. "If he couldn't [beat Benavidez] we wouldn't be looking for this fight"

First of all, nobody at 68 is beating David Benavidez anytime soon.

Second, Mungo is **** compared to both of them.

So Morell said Benavides was running scared when Benavides said Morell was not on his level. So is Morell running scared from Munguia when his camp is claiming that Munguia is not on his " level "? Sounds ridiculous right? That's why it sounds ridiculous when Morell makes claims that people are afraid to fight him. I like Morell I think he's talented, but let's keep it real, the level of competition he's faced is nowhere near the competition Benavides has faced, I will even say Deverchenko who Munguia beat is way better than anyone Morell has faced. So instead of Morell camp talking out of their a**, go face and beat some solid competition and then you can talk all you want.....

Time to build to resume your way to high risk low reward. So if it was up to me we would offer dirrell as the co main on ugas vs Thurman (it's a name) after such I would target Mugunia vs Berlanga winner on the undercard of the heavyweight tournament in Saudi. By then eyes should be gaining then target Andrade if Benavidez is Canelo 3rd fight. If Canelo goes the easy route for the 3rd fight (Charlo, Andrade l, Adames ) then target Benavidez then make the fight bigger.

Munguia may not be an elite in terms of overall skills but he has proven two things that you cannot manufacture - a champions heart and will power. That may come to hurt him someday but it just may hurt some opponents more than him for a while.

Guys aren't exacly lining up to face him after the Aidos Yerbossynuly fight. This is boxing, he has to bet on himself or become a pawn in someone elses game. I respected Loma for fighting for a title after a few fights, I have no issue with Morrell going after Benavidez. Any fighter who doesn't think Morrell deserves a shot can face him, try to shut him up and hope to make a name for themselves. (he hasn't fought anyone as some say, so easy $..just call him up lol)

I'm all for Morrell going after the Benavidez smoke, I think he has more than a shot. But if he needs to face other competition first, I wouldn't mind seeing him and Andrade. It would be both fighters' best win.

Well munguia a former world champ already and has faced couple top names, Morrell hasn't beat any world level opp in his 9 pro fights fighting at Pbc on top...Benavidez or Plant should step in to see where this kid really at.

Mall Charlo could step in too if he's looking forward a canelo golden ticket now thats his lil bro got his.
